The Stookkamer offers free Dutch classes for foreigners with little or no knowledge of the language. We talk a lot, always in an informal, pleasant atmosphere. Topics are for instance introducing and talking about yourselves, asking questions like ‘do you have children’ or other relatives, ‘how was your week’, ‘how was your holiday’, ‘what do you do for a living’, etc.
We use the book ‘ ABC, doe je mee?’ (ABC, are you joining in?) by Ria van der Knaap, which aims at achieving language level A1. We occasionally read easy children’s books together.
The focus is on speaking, pronunciation and increasing our word knowledge, less on grammar.
Costs:
The lessons are free. You only pay for coffee, tea, or soft drinks.
When:
Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:00 (existing group, can use new members)
Mondays from 20:00 to 21:30 (new group)
